Dyno Run **overdue pics added**

Well, I finally got the car into the shop for a dyno run. I knew I needed one really bad...but my first run with the stock pulley was 245hp with 256tq. They did three runs with that just to verify, then they switched to the 6lb pulley. The first run with the 6lb. pulley was 262hp with 267tq.

I was running really rich at the top end, so they brought the A/F ratio to 12.5 and did two more runs. I came out of the shop running 286hp with 279tq. I took pics, but my computer's down, so it'll be a while until I can get them up (I have all the print-outs as well in case anyone thinks I'm bs'ing  ).

I was a little nervous because I don't recall a solara running that high on hp with a 6lb. pulley. But my Boost gauge verify's it. Let me know if you guys have any idea's about that or if you know someone who's running that high (with no engine build up that is :) )

Here's the pics...finally, using a buddies computer.

Very nice! I assume you're a 5spd.

Please be very careful about running that much boost on stock internals. It has been proven from a few people here including myself that high HP and TQ numbers are produced but for only a short period of time on 10.5:1 stock compression ratio.

Check out what my man JoeB had to say about 6psi.:

Yeah, I had talked to Joe before I did this and he recommended I go no higher than 6lbs. I'll keep it this way for the time being, see how it goes...

Congrats Josh! Those are some awesome numbers! Remember when I said 6 was as high as I would go, I also said I think 6psi is right on the edge of disaster. I think 6 is ok carefully tuned and monitored, and not beaten on too badly. I am more and more convinced that if you want any guarantees, there is a reason TRD sold the kit with ONLY 4psi. I would still be a little nervouse with 6psi but looking for problems if I went to 7psi. -JoeB
