Just thought I share my story...Ever since I installed the cat back, the engines been acting poorly. I changed the oil and everything yet my baby still hold back. I had the ebay intake installed....OH MAN it sucks... Then I had the K&N drop in..still restrictive..Then I had the custom pipe for mide stock intake with K&N drop in....Car was still Horriblely restrictive... Sometime the car even chokes because it wasnt beeing feed enough air.. So after many thoughts I finanly got me an injen intake as last resort although I owe the bank money.... comparing the ebay to injen...ITS LIKE DAY AND NIGHT!!!! I use to think ebay could work as long CEL didnt come on.. But the injen gaved my car power in every RPM range.. Ebay only 1k to 3K then it makes the motor feel like its going to blow...But the Injen..HOLY SHIIIIIIITTTTTZZZZZZ this sucker can feed the car.. PEOPLE...GO INJEN!!! no regretsss.. And it sounds better then Sex on the beach!!! WHOOOWWOOOOOO thanks guys who inspired me..

Good review.. Just from your advice, I'll be leaning towards Injen too.

Yeah I use to think that just keeping the CEL light from coming on that ebay intake would still do good. But after today switching out of both ijen and ebay, I see a difference of night and day. The engine if you gun your car with the ebay intake, you notice as you reach pass 4K or so into the high near red line that you can feel like your motor wants to blow or something like its not taking in air or its over redlining... But with the injen, I feel power range and the engine seriously felt stress free so reaching redline felt safe and good... Although its alittle bit of money, Im 1000 percent agreeing that its worth it to being the only intake that will work on our car.. Not even my other setup the K&N drop in can compare to the power range feed injen gave...

Now you just need the extension and you're set!

p.s. IMHO those emblems do not look righteous there. Please remove those immediately!

Glad to hear it worked out! Was there a big difference in pipe diameters between EBay and Injen? Go too large and the MAF has to be recalibrated for the velocity of the air being slower. (Thus leaning out the mixture)

Your car looks wickedly sweet! But please ditch the emblems ... from the entire car.

If i get one for my car, would it be bad for my car if i still have the stock exhaust? Meaning muffler, pipes, and headers.

^^^^ I had that setup for over 2 years until I got my exhaust, didn't really do anything......just heard it a lil more when you gas it but installing an exhaust to accomidate the Injen intake would be better.

The intake looks nice "DatSRBoi", daym you went through all those setups before deciding on getting the Injen...... :o :o

I know...Dam phrases You get what you paid for :-? ahaha. Was trying to go cheap...

As for performance... Its not any faster but louder. To me it was faster because I was finnally running the correct setup rather BS products (excluding the drop in K&N..It couldnt keep up with the catback so I dont blame it)...My motor sounds like a V8 roaring :)

so it was a night and day difference but there is no performance difference as far as speed/power?

and if the ebay intake was 3"and injen in 2" how was the ebay and k&n restricting you?

i dont follow..

i would love to know your "unexcited" thoughts honestly about the difference between stock and injen/catback..

Injen gave a hint of small gain in reaction and flow that you can feel as you step on the gas. Plus I have a catback so drop in major tq so cant feel much exitment even though the car might be performing 20% faster or so.. Rememebr its Tq people feel, not Hp.At highend I feel the powe the intake gives to the engine. very pleased.....Ebay SLOWED THE CAR DOWN more then having a fat lady in it. so you stock timing will be slower.... K&N gaved only good low end and idle but when you start driving its not enough to allow the needed airflow the engine needed...

Ebay maybe 3 inch..but its tooo big that the flow sensor cant pick it up..so the car chokes thinking it has no air and resticts the car performanec..Even at WOT the car think its at idle and you get that engine wanna blow feeling...
There...
