You all may have heard the buzz:

http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=20018

I called CP-E to find out what block they were developing this kit for the gen 1. Right now just the V6. However, Anthony did say that If there is enough interest they would look into making one for the 2azfe! I dono if anyone is interested besides me, but let me see if i can get a few takers.

When we talked i asked why they had not developed CAIs, he said too many people were worried about hydro-locking. That and to build a CAI the pipe diameter would have to be smaller than a SRI to fit through the hole our stock intakes go through near the wheel well. And by the time the air reaches the intake manifold its about the same temp either way. So they felt it was better to use a large diameter SRI to free up the flow.

All that being said, If anyone is interested in these kits for the 2azfe, post please. Anthony said they could build what we want SRI, CAI. If what he told me is true, somebody check me on this, Im leaning toward SRI like the other two. CP-E cannot do CARB certs yet, maybe in a couple of months, Id like to hold out for that. Let me know what you think, V6 people too 8) . Just an opportunity i thought id pass on, If no one is interested, no worries Ill go Injen :D .

Many thanks to down2thec

Thanks
Bill
