I had 215's I think... If you need tires, let me know. I can get you mine from last season, they've still got at least 60% left on them.

215/50/17
Not dropped yet. I was a little worried at first but..no rubbing or scraping fender wall on tight turns. Wanted to go wth 18s but I feel like I live in the pothole/speedbump capital of the South. Anyway, much better than the 15s I had b4

smart choice. a friend of mine has 215/40/17s on his car and he bent one of his rims bad. tht extra but of sidewall really helps.

On the Gen1 you need either a 215/50/17, or a 225/45/17 both work well. If you go with a 215/40/17 your ride quality will suffer, your speedometer will be inaccurate, and you will probably bend your wheels.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

I used to have 215/45/17 on my solara (check my cardomain pg 3)... lowered with rims on the same day... no rubbing at all even with 2 fat ppl in the back

FLASH currently has the 215/50/17 on his lowered solara... check his cardomain... he did mention he rubbed

I agree with Tads up to this point. but bending... eh its by chance and luck and your style of driving... my 17s were freakin STRONG!
Retired... its been fun Image
