Got new winter tires
Hello Everybody,
I just wanted to share my experience with new winter tires that I got a few weeks ago. I got Dunlop Winter Sport M3 on my original 16" rims.
These tires are great so far. Even though they are winter tires they perform better than my stock ones on dry road. Haven't really notice any increase in noise or comfort of the ride. What noticeble is that I have MUCH less screeching, when flooring in turns. They perform much better in wet, too.
This weekend I went to MA and we got some snow there, so I finally had a chance to try them in the snow. They were great. I had no problems getting out of 6 inches of snow. We went to an empty unplowed parking lot to have some fun in the snow (vieos will be posted later). The tires were too good, they dug snow very well, so I could not really go sideways unless i had my parking brake on (at that point i wish i had my old ones lol). Car was very stable and predictable. That was my first time drifting in the snow and I knew exactly where the car would go.
So if you are looking for winter tires, they are great
P.S. I got a great deal. Tire place matched the internet price (marvin tires) of $100 a piece with $50 rebate when buying four tires. They did not have my size in stock and their order got screwed, so i had to wait 2 weeks. The guy gave me a discount so I paid 400 total for 4 tires, installation, and balancing.
