Tein H-techs Fit! **Updated PICS**

Postby WJN333 » Fri Jan 13, 2006 5:22 pm

After alot of posting here, telephone calls to Toyota and Tein, and emails to Tein USA and Japan. I thought I would give them a shot. Good news the Ginea Pig mazde it. I ordered the Tein H-Techs for the Camry and put them on. Tein Part number SKL20-BUB00. They do Fit, just gotta hold your mouth right when aligning them with the strut, suspension support, spring upper seat, and the upper insulator. As for the drop, lower in the front so they correct the saggin rear end. Looks great, level. Been driving around and havent scraped on anything yet. Plan on an alignment after the suspension has settled. As with other lowering springs I would reccommend struts at the same time. I went with Tokicos.

Thanks to all for the help and dealing with my incessant questions.

Bill

You the man. I want the H-Techs too. What do you mean when you said hold your mouth to the right? Where did you get them? Also lets see some pics.

Hold your mouth right: When you fit the new spring into the strut, and then the stock parts on top of the spring, so they will fit back into the car, the spring will not line up to the indentation in the rubber of the top parts that was left by the stock spring. Then just make sure that the spring upper seat and the suspension support look like they did before you took the assembly apart. We had to pull the other side (still stock) for comparison. Then assemble and install. I know that sounds wierd, I hope that makes sense. Hard to explain.

As for pics I dont have anywhere to host. :( I got the springs off ebay.

What about photobucket or car domain? I know I'd really like to see what the ride height is after install.

Congrats! Just make sure you get that alignment done so your tires don't get wasted. Let us know if you have any camber issues, cause I had some major camber adjustments with my s-techs.
