My buddy has a v6 solara supercharged with injen intake and greddy exaust and we dynoed his car and he hit 202 whp. I think the best thing to do is buy a boost guage but. does anyone have any answers to this???

My friend with his S/C'd Gen4.5 dynoed about 190 whp at first, then 206 whp after S-AFC tuning, with stock system. It's the limitation of the A/T.

If it's A/T, that figure sounds right

Not sure what kind of effect this would have, but try going back to the stock air box.

Also what did you dyno this with?

dyno tune

Postby Danny » Sat Jan 25, 2003 4:23 pm

this was done on a dyno jet, do you experience any lag or stutter with a 6psi pulley without a the afc tuned. Could it be something wrong with the internals of the s/c?? any way he got a boost guage were gunna check it out today

i think the prob might be the 6 psi pulley...not sure though. I've heard wit that high of boost u need to get a s-afc to manage the air/fuel ratio because u will run either to rich or lean...not sure on that either. Either that's the prob or there is something definitely wrong......Goodluck

Does n e body know what a stock v6 s/c manuel should be at for fwhp???

that way he has some figures to compare too

ive heard all those figures before, ok update today we installed a boost guage ran down the street at 4psi was were the needle stopped when the car dynoed it had injen intake, tanabe exuast and 4psi pulley the hood was open and a large fan was blowing striaght at the car. The figures came 202 fwhp and i think 206 trq this was on a dynojet in redlands california. please some one have an answer to this problem why isn't it hitting at least close to 220 or 230. Also the supercharger is starting to have mild bearing noise, but the dyno was about 4 months ago with no noise. PLEASE HELP.

I was under the impression you had a Solara. But anyways, your friend is having serious problems if he's only getting 202 to the wheels at the dyno.
