Confirmation of Rim Size

Postby Omes01SLE » Thu Mar 30, 2006 2:47 pm

Hi All,
I'm interested in purchasing these rims, just wanted confirmation from the "experts" that they will fit my 2001 Solara SLE.

18 x7.5, dual 5-bolts pattern (5x100/114.3), +42mm offset

Also, what size tire would you recommend?
thanks.

ps. i hope it's ok to post the same question here and on Toyota Nation. thanks again.

According to Kennys amazing thread of rim size and fitment according to offset etc. you're fine. +42 or lower.

The bolt pattern is right.

225/40/18 would be the most common. However I like a wider tire so I would personally go with a 235/40/18 :D

I have an opportunity to pick up some brand new Toyo Proxes T1-S tires at a good price, but they are 225/35/18 instead of the 225/40/18.

I don't plan on lowering the car anytime soon, do you think the 35 vs. 40 will leave too much of a wheel well gap?
