extended warranty and s/c

I currently have the 7 year 75,000 mi bumper to bumper extended warranty on my 02 solara with $0.00 deductible and my question is will the s/c void the warranty in any way? And how about the eibach/tokico combo?

if your s/c was purchased brand new and installed by a toyota technician, your powertrain warranty is still intact. however, since your tokico/eibach setup is not made by toyota (or the TRD bilsteins) then some portions of your warranty will not be honored. basically anything suspension related.

It's also dependent on the dealer. I had some bozos install my Eibach springs before, and they caused my passenger rear speed sensor to malfunction. Luckily, my dealer replaced it for free under warranty when I took it in.

So if I buy the s/c from the dealer and have them install it then I should not have any problems with the waranty right? Don't want to waste that free extended warranty and since I drive less than 10,000 miles a year that thing will be good for another 6 years.

You can get your dealership elsewhere as long as it's brand new (check kinderhooktoyota.com, toyotaparts4u.com, and partznet.com for best prices on S/C). If Toyota installs this (install from $350-$500) then your factory warranty is intact, hope this helps). Jon.

correct. i've talked to 2 toyota reps about this and they both assured me the warranty will still be intact.

Don't know about upgrading pully's and how that affects or voids your warranty, but i agree with people on top! So you might want to reconsider upgrading pulley after your s/c install!

95% of the Toyota techs would not even know how to spot a smaller pulley. The pulleyboys pulley can be had in black which is the color of the 3.2" stock one. How are they gunna tell difference of .3" without a ruler. Plus its a pretty easy mod to remove

if they look for it, it'll be easy to tell since all toyota parts are marked as genuine toyota parts. but like i said, that's if they look for it. technically speaking though, an upgraded pulley does void the warranty, but yanks is right, 95% of techs wouldn't notice it.
