Steerin' wheel actin' up

Steerin' wheel actin' up

Postby SleeperSolara » Mon Apr 24, 2006 12:50 pm

Well as some of you know; i had gotten new tires car awhile back.
They were Bridgestone G009's and had also gotten 4 wheel alignment also.
Well not even a week later the steerin' wheel started pullin' to the right.....
Well wit-in the that week i neva hit a curb or curbed my tires/rims.
I talked to the tech taht did my timin' belt who has 20 years wit Toyotas; and said that the tires could've done it.
Well i'm startin' to get annoyed wit the steerin' not straight.
It won't even drive straight in a flat parkin' lot.
I always have to hold it to the left or else it would veer off to the right, and now it gettim' worst.
What you guys think it could be.
Could it be that the tect at the place i bought tires didn't tighten the bolts for the alignmet tight enough or what???
Thanks for input.

could just need a camber/caster adjustment...many alignment shops forget to mention the need for cam bolts to adjust the camber of the wheels...definitely ask to hook it up to the alignment machine again and watch the results to see if their telling you the whole story.

the same thing happened to me, so I went through 1 set of tires in 3 months and that got the managers attention, thus ending up with receiving brand new tires, free cam bolts and calibration, and all labor free. :)
