Yes, It has O/D. The way i understand it is the aftermarket Auto shifter must have O/D for the Solara.

The button can be manipulated to fit up/down, since I've even seen a Solara with a Celica knob.

i have a similar one to that, took me like 20 minutes to install, wasnt bad, i've had mine for like 3 years now, the imitation leather is kinda tearing now but its not bad, the OD button needs to be munipulated and the wires that connect to it need to be cut shorter, the wires are kind of long but it aint bad pretty easy and looks nice too

so are you saying that by replacing it with a knob like this you lose your o/d button since you have to manipulate it to take the place of the button on the stock shifter? can someone whose done this mod maybe post a DIY or a wiring diagram??

you don't have to get a knob with an OD button... I have a regular Automatic shift knob that i bought from kragen and just relocated the OD button...
To take off the stock knob all you need is to take off the screw on the bottom, it should be pretty explanatory once you take that off, just pull out gently, there will be 2 wires (those connect to the OD button) you will have to cut them in order to take out the knob... i will try to take some pics of mine today after work...
