As you all know I had my engine total rebuild done by Brian Stoid at Stoid Racing in Texas. It took longer then I was told but I thought, why not there is a lot of custom work being done. Well things started going down hill as soon as I got the engine back.

1. Parts delivered not returned. Had to request them them.
2. The intake cams were installed on the wrong heads. We went around on this one for two weeks. Brain would be called and not return calls. He would try to try it's "OK", the timing might be wrong, the timing belt gears might be on the wrong cam shaft. All kind of BS except, he screwed up.

3. We removed the cam shaft retaining caps to remove the cams and found DIRT on the bearings. DIRT can you believe that ****! Called Brian and again he talked out his ***. Must be dust from shipping or some **** like that. Has the man loss his mind. Those things are so close tolerance there is no way and for him to say that is an insult.

There was also dirt in other areas under the valve covers and not just a little bit. Now I'm afraid of what is wrong in areas we can not see.

I've taken several actions. I've verified he is still in business. Visual.
Contacted Dallas Tx BBB and filed official complaint.
Contacted legal representation in Texas and Az for joint claim. Preparing to have a summons served for civil court.
Preparing a local Dallas newspaper article release to state how I got screwed by a local business in that area.

I will STOP all actions if and when Stoid Racing pays me for all the work I had to have REDONE due to their poor performance.

So, STAY AWAY FROM STOID RACING unless you got time and money to waste.

Fawk Greg, that's some damn horseshit right there. It outright sucks that it happened to you, but I'm glad it's out there before more peopel drop cash for a place that's being careless with their work. I contacted them once by e-mail with specific questions about building my motor etc. and put about an hour or so of my time into that e-mail through research and comparisons of their work and my goals for my car, and my response was simply. I can't really help you we need to talk over the phone to determine what it is you want, when I'm 99% sure they didn't take the time to read the flippin e-mail I spent an hour typing up that explained EVERYTHING. I personally did take it as an insult, and I was willing to pay them good money for a good service, but especially now am glad I did not.

You would think after all their award winning work on 1MZs they'd have a clue, maybe they should just stick with putting 1MZs into MR2s out of their home garage, I mean flippin up the camshafts like that? You don't deserve to be working on a motor, especially charging money for it.

Get the word out Greg, I hope you get back the time, money and effort you put into them. Good luck with everything.

If you paid using your credit card dispute it through them as well. Whenever I have it has always come out in my favor. Jon.

If anyone here belongs to MR2 forums let it be known. No other forums I post at would give a screw, but Camry, MR2 and other toyota sites will. Spread it around.

Gabe and I was trying to put this into lawsuit. I dont know what ever happened. I never hated you bro. This guy when I met him at stoid looked like he was the type that would probably run if he knew. Ask gabe to post up pics I took. Youll be suprise.

It happens more often than you'd think, remember XERD? Just look at the most viewed threads or something, well I know you know but for the other people. They actually made a GREAT N/A Supra header... but they sucked as a company, and have now closed their physical location and only exist as an AOL e-mail address. Some of their products, designs, and various operations have been overtaken by MVP motorsports, who will continue to offer the Supra header. As a side note maybe someone can get ahold of them asnd ask them if they still have the specs to make the 1MZ header, maybe that would solve the Megan racing header woes.
