Whats A/F on idle?

Postby DatSRBoi » Tue Sep 05, 2006 6:09 pm

I have a question. Whats the A/F suppose to be at idle? 14 something? does anyone know? I think I have to pull more fuel from my car because I notice my muffler getting black because Im running too rich? Sorry if questions been answered. About to go and buy my standalone wide band and want to do some of the idle settings myself without the dyno shops.

Then whats the A/F usually suppose to be in what range when cars at around cruising range of 10 to 30% throttle position?

And one last question is my LO to HI throttle is 49LO to 50HI. what did you guys put yours on? I use to have mine 29lo and 79hi and that screwed my car over badly somehow.

dude, i dont know if this will help but when my car is idling at around 700-800 its normally 1.9-2.1 AFL on the SAFC 2. I know thats probably different from what you're looking at but its just for reference. Good luck

idle 15.0 (maybe leaner)
10%-30% = 14.7 (may change a little depends of the RPM)

In fact it is an array of 2 dimension...X are RPM and Y are volts (0-5) or throttle %

you can have the throttle at 100% but running 3000RPM for 1 sec...
you can have throtle at 75% and rev at 4700RPM

In general, even at full throttle, it keeps 14.7 until 4200 RPM for my car at the dyno shop. You'll have to be between 14.7 (riding normally) to 12.5 (when you gun it) the minimal my car go is 12.8 AFR

Are you trying to find something specific ??
