Postby trd628 » Fri Jan 05, 2007 11:47 pm

replaced my brakes (pads, and rotors) today. did the front and everything was great. went to do the back and gor the new pads on and rotor on and the dang things makes a grinding noise from the e-brake. tried adjusting it how my Hanes manual says and still no luck. after I adjust it no noise but the second I pull the e-brake it grinds again. anyone got any advice. the car is in the garage as we speeak on jack stands so any advice would be VERY HELPFUL!

have you checked to see how much meat you have left on your emergency brake shoes?

it could be quite coincidental that at the same time you finished off the shoes and it's grinding on metal
