So to say that i was a little ticked off about my little 'cop+tint+$86' incident I decided to finally work on my suspension. Ive been waiting since mid December to finish what i started. Started at 11am, finished the front at 1:30. It was no sweat. Then started the rear, took out the entire interior which was a PAIN, get the wheels off, remove break and ABS sensor, get to the 2 BIG NUTS, wouldn't come off, tried PB oil, and my friend also jumped in and tried to help. In the process broke his Craftsmen wrench. Well i sprayed the nuts really well and put the lines on, wheels back on, and thru the back seat panels in the back. Tomorrow I will return with a break bar one of my friends has and hopefully will get this done and finished! Thats if it dosent rain like its 'suppose to'.

Well heres some pictures of the progression. Overall im stoked, really wanted to finish it but daylight is pretty much gone now; 30mins after comming in.

Agreed, the first picture was shot in august, the second, today. I see no change in climate, lol

ahahaha, omg... this sounds alll to familiar. Like seriously, you're telling my story too. Specific to the point where I broke the craftsmen wrench too... not once, but twice. You know they'll replace it for you for free at any Sears right? anyways... I sprayed it with WD-40... waited about 10-15 minutes, the bolts will be a lot looser. Then what you do is use a long hollow metal pipe, and use it to extend the arm of the wrench, you'll get a lot of torque to loosen the bolt this way.

PS!
What size are the 2 big bolts in the rear?
Are they 13/16" cause thats what i think they are...? I know there smaller then the front, which is weird to say the least. But i bought that size (for breaker bar) a longer version, will it all work out for me?? :(

If you have a floor jack, the bar from that works quite well ;)

Sweet Jesus, that looks nice.

For some reason, Gen1s that are not lowered look like 4x4s. Lowering, in my opinion fixes Toyota's poor design.

Nice work. I'm sure you'll be itchin' for 18's now.

I know exactly what the rear is... they are 19mm bolt, the front are 22mm bolt, still fresh in my mind :-)

Well got some trouble :(
Stripped the stabilizer bar's screw, the first line of the bolt. Tried for about 20mins getting it to accept the nut but with no success.

My question, what kind of restripper would i need? I believe its metric right? And ive totally forgotten the size of the bolt, but either 12 or 14mm.

Other then that, i went ahead and did the passenger rear and thats all finished up, just waiting to connect this one LAST BOLT!!!

Thanks,
Adam
