my friend smoked his dodge charger's tails with nightshades....theres STILL no comparison with good ol' fashioned tint. Save your money and get em smoked with film..

Nightshades will leave your lights looking dull no matter how many coats of clear you put on. Better to do what dvdchris said and save for tinting film (and get it professionally installed) or take your lights to a car painting place and have them professionally smoked with car paint.

Yea Nightshades actually has a clear coat in it. I had them on my taillights for awhile and like Biggie said you have to do it properly.

As in prep the lights, put on a few coats of NightShades, than some sort of protective coat and you should be set.

For me the product worked for a few months I than had to take a sander and remove all the paint cause they were pealing so bad due to weather, Id just use film.

NightShades can do a correct job...I've old cklinh smoked tailights on right now. from far it looking pretty good...when you are near you may see all the little default of it, especially on the clear bulb part of Gen 2 tailights.

Tomorrow I'll smoke my Gen 2.5 tailights, I'll do it with lamin-X film. I bought it from http://www.InStyleGraphics.com . I tryed already but I was alone in my living room fighthing with water, heat gun and keep the big lights in my hands...this time I'll make it correctly. the Curvy shape of ours tailights not helping it...it is easier with Gen 2.5 taillights. The finish with film is perfect !!

Mine will be the same as Sean (kpxboi0619)
20% (of the light is BLOCKED. It works on the opposite way as window tinting where 20% would mean 20% of light PASSING)

If you find it too dark 10% would be perfect for you.
Go http://www.InStyleGraphics.com click smoked taillights pic

If you wanna buy you may ask Sean or me as well

HAHAHAHA so funny...few minutes before you for my wheels...and so for the smoked gen 2.5 tailights !! :P At least I will not get C/O before you !! haha :P :P

I'll let you know how it goes and if I can tell you any hint on the installation. From my first experience (scrap 50$ of film...it's is not that easy since our tailights are huge and a lot curvy)
