I know a topic like this may have been covered but with the search function being shot. i'll just ask away.

http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/sps-toyota.html

being that I have a sound system in the car my front end rides higher than the rear of course, so even with me lowering the car, will it still ride a lot higher? because being as im not lowered right now the front rides a lot higher noticably than the rear...
I have 2 10in. mtx subs in a enclosed box.
any info just let me know, this is for future reference, but i'd rather just learn it now than deal with crap later.

plus i have never heard of this brand.
I've heard of Eibach, Tein, Ksport, Intrax..
and now this.
With all the brand springs that are made for the 99 solara, is there any brand that sells (even for liek 120-140 dollars) that isn't worth that money for any reason? i know stuff like eibach, tein and a few other known companies are higher price most likely due to quality??

just let me know guys, thanks in advance.

with a small box for the two 10inchers... it wont make much of a difference. Thats not as heavy as a big box for 12inchers.

but just stick to the brand names you've mentioned: tein, eibachs, intrax, vogtlands
And thats if you are just sticking to the springs/struts upgrade.
Retired... its been fun Image

Why even consider those springs when you can get TEINs for $165shipped on ebay?

A box will lower some of the rear, any weight will...its hard to actually determine the exact amount though. Unless you actually put weights in your car, measured, added more, measuered...I would expect at most a half an inch in the back with 100lbs...

Get Teins. the ride is smooth, not bumpy at all. Im still on stock struts and it is koo. For that price^^^ yup i bought it from that guy selling for cheap as well, its a done deal. BUTTTTT, if u want a lower drop maybe intrax will do. I think my teins are not low enough for my style. I love my cars slammed.

Foreal though, if the tein drop look good to u, go for it. Seriously well worth your money. I know u tight on cash, im tight as well but saving 20 or so bucks is blah for crappy ass ride. that 20bucks could be a meal for u and u girl. Get the teins.

I'm leaning towards Intrax mainly because the gap in my front tire area is like 3-4 inches, it's not good. where as the rear gap is only like 1 inch.
I dont know why the gap is so big though.. I have nothing in my trunk besides the sub box.. and ohh the spare tire..

what is the price for some s-tech's?
how much is the drop?
i need kinda a big drop (as stated why above). i was thinking 1.8 would be pretty good?
what is the lowest drop I can get?

basically, what is the best 'bang for buck' for a set of springs within the pricerange of 140-180.

well s-techs are a lot cheaper.. than Intrax... and ive never heard of intrax..
the drop difference is only about .2, and the stechs offer a staggered drop. 1.7 drop in front and 1.4 drop in rear..

http://www.raceinspired.com/p-1225-tein ... -2003.aspx

and the intrax I believe is 1.8 in both front and rear..

http://www.partsandaccessories.com/acce ... andid=3346

then there is dropzone.

http://www.speedstash.com/springs.html
tempting for the price, but question the reliability and 'fitment'.

Both intrax and dropzone i have heard of. In my EX community with the tiburons, many people have used them and enjoy how they rode and how they look. i would say the spring are pretty reliable.

^Cuz I really want to go for the dropzone later. kinda anxious to try it since i never heard of anyone having them on. maybe it's cuz it's not a name brand among the forums??
what do you recommend Toy1mzfe? Do you tihnk Dropzone is a good enough brand to be put on the lara without issue?

To me... i think dropzone would have a good drop but it will be stiffer. I have a feeling becuase the springs would be shorter (the affects of a big drop) you may run through shocks quicker than a smaller drop spring, but thats obvious.

If u want a good drop and dont care about stiffness and it wont bother u, i say go for the bigger drop. I love slammed cars. For u, becuase ur wheels are running on low pros i think ur fender gap is crucial.

i think both intrax and dropzone are around the same level of quality and reliability.

I heard a bit more of intrax for the 97-01 tiburons. but i heard more dropzones for the 03+ tibbys

To me, i think people would not put crap springs and have good reviews on a new car u kno.

If i was in ur position and to choose between intrax or dropzone... i would pick dropzone because of the price difference and the drop.

But then again, thats me. Its up to u to decide.

Hey Toy1mzfe.

I stopped by a performance shop today and I told him about Dropzone. he said he's heard of it but isn't sure what company makes it. He said maybe not ALL are bad but he said he once installed a set on another car and turns out the drop was uneven .. so the car drove tilted and the springs the guy ordered was an even drop... so I'm worried about quality?

I would go with eibach, but $$$...
And Tein's maybe..
But I'm still partial to the dropzone since this is only a temp solution.

Let me know if you think Dropzone is still worth it. thanks.

hmm i never heard anything like that. but if ur mech is a trusting guy and u kno hes not lying and knows wassup, i think u should think a bit.

I kno for sure that stechs does not lower the car enough. im running on 19" and still my fender gap is still like 2-3 fingers.

Some honda guys used drop zone before and it was koo. If i was in ur spot, i would see if i can return the springs if they end up to be crap. kinda like hows their customer service, just in case. I would also suggest just googling the springs and see people response from different forums and how they react to it.

hope that helps.
