Durring the install of my non-precat headers, taking the sensor off the old headers, it stripped the thread on the o2 sensor so i had to buy a new one, its a Bosche o2 sensor, and it was for $190. Is this the price i should be paying or should i have baught a cheaper one?

I dont think there is a diffrence? Because the one the mechanic got was just for a 2000 SE v6 Solara.

Can u find that site?

also, this is not the o2 sensor for after the cat, this is the one on the header, even before the pre-cat as well. So i dont see how it could read diffrently.

You should be good.
Why the issue? Price?
Just get one the the same location as the one you are replacing.
Got Boost?? :sweet:

the one on the header is an a/f sensor, not o2.

both sensors on the headers are a/f then it goes to precat which is an o2 then aftercat which is an o2 also...i know this because when my lara was shooting codes left and right i replaced both a/f sensors, after cat o2 and a/f meter...think i got the a/f from the dealer at price (my bro in law knew someone there) and both came out to about 300 so that sounds about right for one a/f sensor...o2 was like 60-75 from local autoparts store and it was borch too...

Yes, Toyota confirmed this for me, i went and got it from Toyota today and installed it, its funny tho, even with the Bosche o2 Sensor, the CEL didnt come on for a faulty sensor...

anyway, its doing good thus far.

O and the Denso A/F from Toyota cost me $220.
