5 Speed Conversion?

5 Speed Conversion?

Postby M_ABILLONES » Fri Aug 31, 2007 3:23 pm

I bought my car about three weeks ago and for some reason when I am slowing down there's some sort of a "thud" coming from the car. Now, I don't know if this is the tranny going out(42k+ miles only) but if it is I'd like to convert the car into a 5 speed.

Who's done a 5 Speed conversion to an 03 solara sle v6? I would appreciate any help and suggestons very much.

Thanks,

MArk

1. Take it back to wherever you bought it.

2. Depending on date of first use, you could still be covered under your 5yr/60k factory powertrain warranty.

To convert any car into a stick shift is a huge job. It will cost at least half as much as you paid for the car, to get it converted.

You'd be better off selling it and buying a stick.
