Exhaust System without O2 sensor

If you had an exhaust system (cat back) without a whole for an O2 sensor, and u leave it unplugged ( i guess) what would happen? Would the computer freakout and dump gas into it or burn way lean or both or just a check engine light would come on?

you would have a mean exhaust leak, and CEL.

i would research in getting a trick o2 sensor where that it wires into another o2 sensor. dont know much about it though.

why would you want to do this anyway?

Your check engine light would come on, but the car would run normally. The rear oxygen sensor is only for OBD II emissions testing, not for setting the mixture.
