ROTORS INSTALLED

Postby gnaw_divad » Thu Nov 13, 2003 7:56 am

Hey, heres some pics of the new rotors i just finished putting in. Been working all night on them and its already close to 8AM. :o Cleaning and preparing the calipers to paint deemed the most difficult part of the project, i need to touch out the paint a little but i think it turned out not too bad.

Hope you guys enjoy the first ever look at my Solara.

Gnaw_divad,

The images are broken.
I don't think you could link directly to pictures of Yahoo.

i don't know too much about the brakes themselves - i was under the assumption the kit you were talking about was the rotors - what is the kit that your talking about?

this is a kit sold by eric sol, the rotors i believe the same rotors are made for a supra and there is a retro-fitted braket adapter so that your original caliper is used.

If i had the right tools the install would have been very simple. Jacking all 4 wheels off the ground on my sloped driveway wasnt the easiest thing. But besides that the install of the KIT that Eric is selling is basically the same as putting on a new set of rotors. ONLY 2 BOLTS.

Painting of the calipers proved to be the most difficult part of the process. Cleaning and preping for paint is a pain in the A!@.... and so is the bleeding of the breaks, its not hard just takes a LONG time.

But overall out of a 10 i would rate the install a 6.5 with painting and a 4 without.
