Question, I have a 99 SE V6, most of the people I talked to have either the evo or apexi exhaust set up, i was wondering if anyone has a custom setup, like a universal muffler and custom piping, if anyone does have this set up, i would like to know what kind of muffler to use, and piping and if any muffler will fit?

How many more horses do you get with that custom dual catback?

the main pipe after the Y pipe is still a single, so there will be little to no performance gain.

just sound and looks. which isnt a negative at all.

Thanks for the info. So...does that mean my buddies Invidia's exhaust for his '02 Celica GT is just for show and no hp gain?

its more likely so on a 4 banger to be less performance.

however if its grounds for being turbo, the less air restriction, easier access for exhaust then it would be for performance, somewhat.

but one thing still is there. 1 pipe splits into 2 pipes. the bottleneck is that single exhaust pipe comming from the engine.

how would you get X+ Y (Y being the dual exhaust) flow if you have only the X amt of flow at the start?

He's also getting a CAI to go along with that exhaust, this should give him more hp, right? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to learn, so I don't mess up my ride. Thanks for all your help.
