current draw means how much power your amp needs to create the wattage,
dist block is another term for a fuse block for multiple units
ground block, is where allthe grounds are run to and then one point to chasis
as far as preventing it you cant, you can prelong it with a cap , only getting a proper one works
hey no prob, this stuff can get really complex and expensive really fast, happy to help, after all i love this stuff.

if you have the money and ur pretty sure you're going to upgrade 2 guage is the smart way to go. (gunman is right)
cap might help the headlights, but not too much (unless u put one near your headlights)
you put it near your amp and it'll keep your amp juiced-- prolonging the life of your amp and help keep it seeing higher voltage.
i was surprised to see the amp has 4 20a fuses... but i have a feeling you're not going to be pushing the amp too hard
i doubt you want your speakers seeing 85w rms all the time anyway...

whoa, i missed that second line,
the cap will absoutly help with the headlights because it will stabalize the current draw, keeping it smooth, due to the fact that it can recharge in mirco seconds, without one, heavy bass notes require larger amounts of power to produce and cause ''heavy pulls'' that is why the lights dim, the amp is competing for current. with the cap, it stabalizes the draw allowing everything else in the car to work more ''effeciently'' because the amp has a power source much closer to work from. imagine you have a straw and try to drink from a cup 15 feet away. you would have to suck(insert joke here) harder in order for that liquid to reach you, BUT if you break the straw and add a cup next to you that is constantly being filled from the original water source, and now you have a six inch straw, is it not much easier for you to drink? same thing with the amp, its works much better with less resistance,
Now as far as adding a cap for the headlights, how much closer do you want the Car battery to the headlights? :o

right up in to the voltage part, the most you want the amp to see is 14.4volts, unless you have a unregulated amp that can handle 20 volts or something like that , and if thats going on in your car say goodbye, cause all of your computers will start frying

cant help myself sometimes.

Gun, are you sure he needs 0ga? I think 2ga would be fine... even with an amp upgrade possible in the future, and it might save him a couple bucks. I totally agree with the alt. upgrade though.
