tires can also make a pretty big difference, im not sure exactly what aspect of them makes em more quiet, would it be softer?

I found that my Solara is ten times quieter than my gf's Highlander. It's cool. 8)

bad tires make the cabin a lot more noisey; assuming this is what your going for :dontknow:

I would s/c your solara and put a k/n filter in it and you really dont need to mess with the exhaust unless you really want to go fast but I used to have a regal gs with a stock supercharger (roots sytle m-90) and you couldnt hear it unless you were into the throttle. That is prolly the most stealth car ever made in my opinion.
