so hoods and trunks are top picks so far. We really want to start on something no one has and work from there so the fenders and the trunk might be first. As far as hoods, what styles are all availible now? or just OEM?

I'd be willing to put cash money-type currency down for a CF panels to replace my real genuine artificial mock simulated wood panels.

As an aside, I was pretty pissed to find out that in order to get stability control, you had to buy a package with simulated wood and leather (read: SLE).

it will be nice if you can make the interior wood trim panel COVER. I mean try to make CF cover to cover the hood piece, so it is reverseable and easy installation.

supra TRD hood style is too ricy, a C-west style vented hood would be good enough.

OEM CF hoods are only available. I'd love to see some vented hoods. For me, I'd like to see vents in the rear of the hood (towards windshield). Something that would help release some heat from the s/c, thus having style and function. :D But, I've really only seen the vented Invader style hoods, which aren't that bad. Maybe just another style is what I'm after.
On a side note: The only downsides I don't like about CF hoods are having to use hood locks (but I have seen some of those flat styled kinds, which don't look that bad) and not being able to hold up the hood w/o using something to prop it up. Are there any ways around these things?

as far as hood pins goes on the hoods, it is all up to you guys. We can make hoods many different ways. The reason people need hood pins is how the hood is manufactured and what materials are used. How we want to make them is carbon one the outside and also a full carbon frame. Most people don't relize that just about every carbon fiber hood is 80% fiberglass. That is why they are still heavy. I made a hood for my integra and it only weighed 3lbs. But I made it right. (not saying the solara hood would weight this) We can do full carbon on the skin and the frame and put kevlar reinforced latches so you wont need hood pins. A hood manufactured this way would be about $595. Here is a pic of a full carbon frame. This was for a race car so there was no gel coat used.

TRD Supra Style hood would be gold for me.

What about CF Headlights/Corners? Is it possible? You'd probably need projectors, but that would be SWEET.

Man, that's beautiful! :P, That's definately worth the price when done right! Wow, 80% fiberglass on some hoods, damn that's a lot!

For those of you interested in the CF hood, would you be interested in full carbon frame? I know I do, this is the best way to maximize the intent of the CF hood - weight reduction.

well 80% resin and fiberglass. 1 layer of carbon on the skin and then a thick layer of fiberglass. The the frame is 2 layers of fiberglass. We would rather make them with the carbon frame, just for the fact we are putting our name on them and want to follow in the foor steps of our other products and not lower the quality of our stuff to sell them cheaper for volume.

you name just about every brand of hood and it is mostly fiberglass. They put carbon on the edges of the frame to make it seem like it is all carbon, but it is not. Again not knocking other peoples stuff but you can get ViS hoods for like $350 now and to make them affordable they need to lower quality (by using more fiberglass and resin).

ok, does that mean a carbon fiber trunk would still use the factory latch?

i like the look of the little exterior race car latch looking things, but thats not very solaraish if you can understand what i mean
