just make your own get 2 inch rubber pcv pipe connectors a a lot of 2.5 inch pipe and make your own I would have done that if I had known the extention was just a 90 degree angle (dammit could have used a 94 accord intake for that.)

making your own is never as hard as you think see 90 teg modded on a 88 accord.

Although I've got a V6, I bought some intake pipes from Vibrant Performance and was going to make my own. Just measure out what you need and buy the pieces. What's funny is the other day my K&N filter fell off, which I believe is due to me trying to get out of an underground parking structure with a harsh angle. :x Not having any spare filters, I used a 90 degree tube at the end of the extension and have the top of the filter (which is open) pointing straight out and just touching the fog light opening. So, when you stare at the front bumper, you can see the top of the filter. It's interesting because I sometimes feel more pull, even though I know the length of travel is greater. I think at higher speeds and rpm's it may come into effect.

Do you think this more direct setup is any better than having the filter farther back?

Bump, I like the idea of being able to make my own if I want, but still need some input on performace vs. gas milage from V6 people with drop in, short ram, or CAI, please.
