I second that

I have 225/45/17 and I haven't had any problems, but I wouldn't goto 40 or below. In addition to the risk of bending, IMO it doesn't look as good because there is less rubber and a larger gap.

i am running 215/45/17 no rubbing here.. m going to get 225/45/18 when I get my rims.....going to keep the 17's for the winter time..
