well... I might be in... it depends on whether people will experience idling issues like other cars with bored TB's.

Also, those of you wondering about N/A applications. This will help boost power, but not by much. if your car is completely stock, you can expect like 3-4hp.

If you have other airflow mods... CAI, WAI, Exhaust, headers... you might be able to come up with 6 or 7 hp.

that's about 1hp per 33 bucks if you're modified... not a bad deal.

Not to mention that from the outside, this mod looks completely stock, so you shouldn't have issues with the visual exam when smogging.

I'm just worried about the idling.

The idle shouldnt be effected cause he is fabricating a new butterfly so it will fill up the hole. . . even though its a bigger bore throttle body at idle it will still let in the same amount of air

I'm thinking that and a little bigger intake pipe. With a modified head, this should work well.

trd4life wrote:Paul, i am sure it will lean the car out a "little bit" on the top end for supercharged applications, i'll take care of that on the dyno if need be using the safc. I have been doing some thinking, in order for this mod to be more effective, it "may" require port matching the supercharger. I am going to see if there are any gains without port matching the s/c, then i'll port the s/c and see if there is any diff.

pics coming up soon!

When I had my accord intake headers exhaust ignition cam fuel ect. A overbore T was a great gain for an NA car.

Any word on this project Gabe? I'm thinking one of these would accomodate the CP-e intake very nicely.

in theory, as long as you dont outflow what the stock MAF can read...
Then supplying the engine with more air via the throttlebody, would mean that more air is metered by the MAF. that would mean that the ECU will dump more fuel...
to a point. The stock ECU is still going to reach the max of what its fuel maps tell it to under a given load.

With the programmable MAF that is available with the Custom Performance Engineering MAF-ci intake, you can create your own fuel maps to compensate for this mod, as well as others I'm sure. You'll need a dyno to do it of course, and the CP-E MAF comes with a preprogrammed 30 x 30 cell fuel map tuned specifically to the 1MZ that is awesome. I finally got my CP-E kit installed and the performance gains are real.
