TRD Gauge install

put the bulbs back in the instrument panel. they illuminate the back to show your odometer and light up your needles. you don't need to take out any bulbs when you install reverse glows since they just slip right over your factory gauges.

I left all the bulbs in except for the one on the far right behind the RPM gauge. That's where I ran the wires out of the panel.
KV85 wires, Injen w/ extension, X-stream K&N
Clear corners, titanium bulbs, silverstar head/fog lights
Magnum drilled rotors, G-Stop stainless steel lines, CM lowering springs, TRD RSB

is the RPM needle the only one that's hard to see? if that's the case, it's simply because that bulb is missing.

i didn't even need to take a bulb out. i ran the wires out and forced the cover (black panel of instrument cluster) back into the white piece. the wires don't pinch it hard, but it's a tight squeeze.

It's all needles that are hard to see, not just the RPM. Even when I turn up the dimmer all the way it's still pretty hard to see. Did you leave the factory gauges on underneath or take them out?

are you sure you did this correctly??? the aftermarket gauges don't replace your OEM gauges...THEY SLIP RIGHT OVER THEM.

if you took out your OEM gauges, well then...you might've messed something up.

No, I left my factory ones on and put the aftermarket on top of them. Oh well... no biggie. I'll get use to it in time i guess.

Did you cut the wiring to the dimmer switch, or did you T-tap them? If you cut the wires to the dimmer switch then power may not be going to the bulbs anymore.

Hope this helps,
David

No, I used those wire tap connectors. I can see just the faintest light on the needles but at night it still looks pretty dark. I think I'm getting use to it, I usually don't look at my speed anyways.
