I knew the other partners that used to be there. but yea I didnt want to make anything if I dont get the rights to the parts

how much were the CF trunk going for then?

$550 each and price goes down when more is bought that was for 10 pc run lowest it would have been was $450 but that requires too many trunks

Eh... something is telling me to abandon this thread
I dont think most of the ppl on here are ready for full CF kit

so basically everyone shows interest until its time to pay up
yeah um
i guess ill scrap the idea of a group buy. If it didnt happen for a trunk it wont happen for the whole body kit

why hasnt anyone ever thought of making replica polyurethane kits from TRD? i am sure krawzyazn has a BRAND NEW kit that someone can use as a mold and go from there. would it cost more? if we can mass produce it after a mold, im sure you can bring it down to the 500 range and have another group sell like you did about a year back.

but why oh why would you throw away the mold.

man...that would be so nice if you had the rights to the mold. so much power in your hands with that thing alone.

Been there done that. I was going to have AIT do a CF TRD kit for the gen 1.5. After a few times in the shop they decide not to do it due to the curves in your kit and how fragile the CF would be.

They told me it would crack way to easy.
So i was turned down....

This was about 2 yrs ago when i started the thread on here...

yeah last night i made up my mind to just get a knockoff fiberglass trd lookalike kit
kuz
1- i dont have a grand for a trd kit.
2- i dont have patience to get my new 1000 dollar trd kit repainted
3- im a daily drive and as such my cf trd kit would turn to shi.t in a matter of weeks. I bottom out as it is already NOT lowered and without a kit.

You will prbably be worst off with the fiberglass kit or replica kit.
1. Fiberglass cracks allot easier then urethane.
2. Fitment may be a problem since its a replica.
3. You still need to have it painted to your car's color.
4. Fiberglass kit is around $500.00 plus shipping while Mark aka krazyazn has a brand new TRD kit for $800.00, for the extra $300.00 i would get the real thing and not skimp out. You will regret getting the fiberglass one in the long run.

i found one for 315+shipping

And this whole body kit thing isnt any time soon. The reason i brought up a CF TRD look kit was because this project would take a little time so it wasnt a right away thing

Im pretty sure that by the time i get enough for a TRD kit
theyll all have new owners who wont give them up =/
