The engine pistons in the engine themselves are a "compressor". Water in the intake is always bad. The filter should block most of it out, unless its completely submerged, and then it becomes a one way ticket to hydrolock. Remember, water, unlike air, doesn't compress.

I think the CAI + blower issue has to do with running too lean, but that's someone else's expertise.

haha, yup... I agree with ThatVietGuy.

Why would you need an CAE anyways if you are already boosting? People try to get a CAE because there is cooler air down there. They try to get cooler air because cooler air is more dense, and thus have more oxygen molecules. Basically, trying to get the most power out of a NA engine as possible.

Butttt, if you are supercharged, you're getting so much more air than the rest of us NA folks anyways, 4psi of extra air right? Getting an CAE won't be that much of a difference. Just stick with a SRI because those are higher flowing than a stock one, OR get a CP-E intake because it has a TUNABLE fuel/air map, that's something you can definitely notice gains with. I mean, what you gonna do with all this air, if your fuel system isn't gonna be tune to provide enough fuel right?

I didn't even know you were supercharged, congrats on that Dawgz!

the extension with a S/C is not a big deal, so long as you have something to program the ECU with.
