i know someone with a cifford, than when he parked his car outside a store and came back 15min later and his car was gone. I did a basic viper alarm for my buddy that lives in newark. Not to long ago, some guys were trying to steal his car, his neighbor said they were pounding and pulling things out like crazy. The bottom line is when he came back his car was still there, all f'd up but at least they didnt get it. Basically the point Im trying to make is your alarm is only as good as your installer. I cant tell you how many times Ive pulled a dash down with 2 screws and the alarm fell right in front of me :o , and this was DEALER installed. Of course theres no stopping tow trucks, vin numbers to get key dups, and so on, but there are things you can do to help prevent. If you dont feel comfortable parking your car somewhere...........dont! Keep em as close to the entrance at possible, try advoid dark far off parking spots. Dont advertise.............meaning dont pull into a parking spot with system full blearing, park, and walk away. I for one turn everything down about 3 miles from my house. If your kinda smart with your car and try being carefull, you can cut down the chances that something might happen to your car. The most you can hope for is to slow them down to the point that they bail and try someone elses car.

Thats why I have the DEI pain generating siren so they don't want to work in the interior. I also have a second siren with a backup battery.

...Still waiting to install it though :(

Yep good call. Most people draw attention their car when they're bumpin' the system right before they park their car.

lol the infamous "ball of wire". good point though, installation does play a factor of whether or not your alarm can hold its own on the streets.
