be weary of those ebay headers, I have heard of fitment nightmares. i know they worked out dawgz, but if one thing costs $1600 and another costs $100, you kind of have to wonder... I know JP headers are a bit overpriced, but you tend to get what you pay for... just a heads up.

You cant always look at price, really. Mass produced products vs specialty. The quality can be almost the same but since its mass produced, itll be cheaper. But i know that the JPP system is better quality.

but come on...1600!...

And, i dont know anything about those with fitment problems, i didnt actually install them, i went with OEM 2000 Camry v6 headers. BUT, here's the thing, if i can find someone who would be willing to sell JUST the ebay headers, i would have no problem in buying and trying those on my car. I dont even know why the hell i sold the set i had.

p.s sell me ur damn walbro...damon!

why would you need to find someone to sell them to you? theyre $100 on ebay with a ypipe and test pipe...

I know you cant always look at just price, but seriously... $100 for headers and a y pipe for a v6? they cant be terribly mass produced because there isnt any market for the solara. They would never make their money back if they actually put real research and tuning into the product, it just doesnt make any sense.

They could be alright, but as a general rule I have found if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

$1600.00 is too steep for a set of header system...On my WRX I installed a set of GT-Spec Header System for $500 vs some of the JDM companies that can run upto $2000.00. And my GTSpec still outperforms the other brands.

Worse case scenario if I don't like the Ebay headers then I only loose $200.00 tops.

^ agreed... 500 bucks for headers on a 4 cylinder is a reasonable price for a quality product, it is just a lot more for a v6 unfortunately...

Save yourself the trouble. If your not going to boost your solara, just do look mods and leave the motor alone. You WILL be happier in the end. This is coming from a guy who spended more then 1600 dollars on my car.

And Dawgz, That F up Y pipe hurts my eyes every time I see it. I guess thats what happen when you sell a Y pipe to a kid who does not listen to what you tell them to do instead paid some cheap shop to do that.

^ he's right though, there sure has been a lot of slamming of dawgz and bragging about those ypipes, when everything I read says they never even fit in the first place. I give you huge props for getting them made in the first place dat's, but give the kid a break... it isnt his fault they dont fit in the first place.
