hsakuragi, there is only 1 IK-22. They wouldn't make 2 different spec plugs with the same model number. It is either that you have a different engine that the IK-22 doesn't fit in or the dealer was wrong (unlikely)... Looking at Denso's site and their application guide, the 2002 Solara V6 takes the IK-20 and for 2003 the only application they support is the Matrix 1.8Liter. Not sure what to tell you. You may want to try writing to Denso and asking them about the application.

Welcome to the S/C club by the way. It's GREAT! -JoeB

Thanks Joe. I was wondering does the 99-01 HP is 180 or someting? and then on 02-03, they redesigned the engine a bit and boot up the HP too 198? Maybe somet pa rts was changed but using the same engine..(that's what i thought)...I guess I just leave everything OEM until something came up..only 18K on the car...But anyway, I retured it back at autozone and they give me store credit since I don't have the receipt..bummer...

Questions: Does the supercharger make noise when you backing up? I mean like 5-6 mph...it did on mine..usual?

Btw, thank you all for your advices!! :)

When I bought my 99, they said it was 200hp. I'm not sure what the difference is. I would try contacting Denso. Just go to their web site find a link to contact them and explain the application. If they can't help you, at least they'll be aware that people are asking for it and maybe get to it sooner. If the part isn't out yet, maybe they can give you a future part number and let you know when you might be able to expect it.

Every once in a while, my car makes a low straining/grinding noise in reverse (automatic). I was worried it was the tranny and had it checket out. The tranny was fine, I wonder if it was the sc? Does yours do it all the time? -JoeB

Thanks Joe, I will send an email to Denso when I have time.

Well it's only been in my car for 2 days, so I'm still not sure, but yes, it still make noise when I press on the gas on reversing...It must be the charger that make the noise cuz I asked my brother did he hear any noise while i was backing up, he said no, but I'm in the inside which is very noticeable.....

The brake pads is already in my car for at least 2 weeks, I got the poterfield pads recommended by Yanks, SSBL...I probably will go back to dealer to do it. (firestone call themselve a big company and refuse to do it because of the libiality..my a$$!! Otherwise it's on there already  )
