Let us know how this turns out long term as EricSol said he fooled around with the idea but it put more stress on the rear motor mount. For the DIY guys, I believe I priced the parts out at something like $25. Like Jim said it's an easy mod. Just remember it's a female Heim joint and not a male one.

I'll give it a stab, feel free to correct me if you think I'm out of whack. This is just my theory:

Taking away the give of that shock there makes it so the power is transfered directly to the ground (or at least more directly) rather than the loss of power that is absorbed in the rocking motion of the engine. In addition, the rocking motion of the engine exagerates the weight transfer to the rear and promotes the oscillations that cause wheel hop.

In plain english :wink: , your power is now being used rather than lost and it will help reduce wheel hop... -JoeB
