OK please dont give me a "youre a D.A for asking this question" but what is an Injen Intakes extension?
What does it do?

Or is just a part of the intake when you order it from Injen?
I have the short-ram intake

And can it fit on a short ram intake? Thats what I have...

its an add on to the injen SRI
it extends the sri into a cold air intake
basically its an extension to ur sri to make it reach colder air

I might just sell my Extension then and run it with the original Injen intake.

What code were you getting?

I've never got a CEL and I'm running 5.5 and no tune yet. I've had the CAE for about 3 or 4 years and I've been running the 5.5 for about 2 years.

I dont know why you guys are getting cel's...most of us have had these extensions on for a long ass time and never had problems. Personally, I am happy to have the extension and I think most will agree. Those of you getting cel's have something installed incorrectly or loose hoses...it is not the fault of the injen.

Also, check that you put the MAF sensor in correctly. I know there have been people that put it in the wrong way.

so its completely safe to use with the supercharger? I have Jim's Fuel Mod on now, i read ALOT of threads where people were saying they were throwing CELs and the car was running lean causing them to blow knock sensors.

Fckn crap.

Your best bet is to get some sort of piggy back computer, like a S-AFC. Then, get on a dyno and have them tune it so you'll have the right air/fuel mixture. Besides, you'll get optimum/max HP out of your engine.
I haven't dynoed yet, I will in a couple of weeks, but I've never had a CEL from my SR w/extension.

Well, I think after I got the CAI, that's when I started getting lean. Before then, i think the stock air intake, with K&N filter, didn't allow me to take in enough air to run too lean even with 6lbs of S/C boost.

After the intake is when it happened. But, i drove for a good while before it blew. Because it was the last performance mod i added, i deduced it was the problem.

So, i got my engine fixed and just finished the break in period. Now i will get the URD A/F calibrator installed so i don't have that problem again. So, for you, I would recommend getting a piggy back fuel system and getting the lean tuned out immediately.
