Fuel pump upgrade?

Postby GoT_TRD » Sat Nov 29, 2003 11:44 pm

Wow, 6psi seems to work pretty good on mostly stock 1mz's... I have my s/c now with 6.2psi but its not on the car yet. I've been to scared of messing up my motor. All i have is an air filter and muffler. I was going to wait to get the s-afc, 2jz infectors and fuel pump. I guess i dont really need the injectors n fuel pump. Im also debating on gettin the Zerd CAI or Danny's CAI before i bolt on the s/c.

I would STRONGLY recommend getting the S-AFC-II or some other controller before doing the 6.2psi pulley. Many people have blown knock sensors and it is expensive to get them replaced. You want to have the S-AFC installed and adjusted by a good tuner shop. You'll also want to use 93 octane gas unless you live at high altitude or have lowered your compression. -JoeB
