for every farrad =1000 watts of power,is the general rule of thumb, so it depends on what sub amp you might add later.

i have voodoo caps. They are 2 1.0 farad caps and they work amazing. There are pics on my site, but they are terrible pics, more to come

how hard is it gonna be to install 0 gauge wires? those things are pretty damn fat. also, gunman, did you get pictures of where to wire to the engine bay for manuals yet?

oh damn i had my car in the bay cleaning it up today. i should have some pics by the weekend, for the rest of the week the weather is gonna be alittle bad so she gonna stay in the garage for the next couple of days.

damn, that sucks, let me know when you get the pictures. i wanna do the install soon. btw, i got stinger 0 gauge kit and stinger 60ft of 10 gauge speaker wires for 145. is that good?

hehe, that very good, my last customer today is doing a jl audio 1000 and a 300 watt amp, when I was done, he had spent 1200 in accesories alone :crazyeyes:

No i wouldn't get that. First of all you get what you pay for in 99% of the situtaions. That cap doesn't tell you any of the stats like the ESR. Either stick to the brand names, or be sure of what you are buying.

if the dist. block splits the 0 gauge into 2 4gauge before running into the amp, doesnt that defeat the whole purpose of getting 0 gauge? or does it not matter? and do i need a fused dist block?

4 gauge is ok as long as it's a short run. One of the big problems with 4 gauge wiring is there is a possibility of signal attenuation after a certain distance. I think the fused block is nice, it's not much more (you can get a halfway decent fused block for $20) and it adds another dimension of protection to your amps.
