I finished up painting my grill "bumper chrome" from the plasticote spray paint comp. I think that's their name...

Their "chrome" color imo looked like crap. It was a little shiney and had a light color to it. Almost a white chrome color. Not at all was I was hoping for. So then I went back to the store and got a darker silver color, which doesn't look too bad. I took off as much old paint as I could and sprayed it on there. IMO- it makes the car look kinda cheep. However, if a good chrome looking paint was applied (if it's out there) it might look good.

I got a new grill from my dealer yesterday and am going to put it on tomorrow. I think the OEM grill looks better. Maybe I'll look around for some good chrome paint and try it again later on to see what I can come up with.

aftermarket grills

Postby Danny » Tue Feb 18, 2003 8:37 am

im willing to do them for 120 off your stock grill thats approximatly 100 for labor and 20 for mesh, fiberglass, and paint. let me know if you guys think this is reasonable. Also if youd like to buy a second grill like one off ebay go right ahead and send that one to me.

Also i'll let you know that these grills are pretty strong i havent ahd anyproblems with mine yet (6 months) but i do recommend that you baby it a little bit. If your gunna have someone work on the car just say watch out for the grill, understandable. Other than that you all know i have a solara as well so i will fit your grill on my car before i send it back to you. :)

also if you want any logos put it send it to me ill see what i can do.
