CP-E MAFci kit install

Damn! I gotta check in more often! I knew you Gen1 guys would love this product. CP-e rocks. I wish the Gen2 guys weren't being such wussies about the price. (Ours is cheaper even!) They got screwed by Injen bogus marketing.

Anyway... one comment on the "more air" theory. The big pipe doesn't make your car suck more air. It allows it to suck as much as it wants easier. Whether natural or forced, an engine wants what it wants. It's how much restriction you put in the way. Big pipe = less restriction. Blow the air in = no restriction. So correct me if I'm wrong, but unless you change the volume of your cylinders, you'll never overcome your injectors.

The other byproduct of the big pipe is the big-boy sound. No ricey whine.

So thanks to all of you new cp-e fans for putting up your results. I'm going to have to point the Gen2 guys over this way. CP-e was thinking headers, shift kit, and S/C for the Gen2 but it's all on hold because everyone bought the $200 Injen POS. You guys all seem to have recognized the quality design and production of the cp-e shop.

xSolarax - That dyno is pretty wicked, huh? The things it can do! I posted a shop tour last summer if anyone wants pics, but the place is much improved since then.

Yeah that would be nice for more headers for the Gen1.
Tryin' to convince parents that intake in my car now is bad.
But the only problem is that the CP-E unit is about $489.00+shippin'.........
Would get 1 if cheaper.

Hope you guys don't mind but I put together some of your reactions from this thread and posted in the Gen2 A/M Mods forum. We had a long development time and right before they released for Gen2, Injen did a pseudo-under-the-table release of their lamer pipe. So many of the Gen2 guys saw two intakes, one at half the price, and went with the cheapest. Injen was claiming the same power improvement without tuning which is impossible... So, I'm glad to see you guys as happy as I am with the product. And I was really glad to see some of you have had other intakes to compare with.
I'm not saying there's no place for the Injen... just that if you're buying HIDS and lowering and $$$ rims and TRD everything, putting an Injen pipe in there is an insult to the car as long as the higher quality system is out there.

Tomorrow when I go with my buddy who backed into my Solara to get the damage estimte on it, I'm finally going to get to use his camera. Or so he says.

I WANT ONE FOR MY CAR!, if they make one for my gen 1.5 2az then i'll definitely jump on it and hopefully get the world sport on and be set ahahah, it sounds like you guys love this and if they do come out with it i prolly will be satisfied

I don't mind at all. These guys deserve all the publicity help they can get. They are dedicated and talented, but they don't have a lot of resources to spend on advertising. It's up to us customers to help them get the word out.

RPM has been serving the Mazda 6 community for a couple years now and recently began working with CPE.

We've noticed that there has been a reasonable amount of interest in the CPE MAFci products.

I'd like to know if there would be any interest in a group buy featuring the MAFci. The group buy would include Gen 1, 1.5 and 2 and would require a minimum of 5 buyers. However, the more buyers, the greater the discount would be, of course!

Let me know! If I get a good response, I'll set something up right away!

I've been wantin' a CP-e intake so bad for so long.
From your site i read that you have a bypass module......
What does to help wit the intake?????

Bypass module is for going back to stock. You unplug the Customizer and plug that in it's place. Just a bit easier than creating a jumper wire to reconnect the stock MAF wire. But if you never revert to stock, you'll never need it.

I might possibly be interested in purchasing one, I've been thinking about an Injen for a while, but this def sounds better. Anyone know the website? Any idea on possible group buy prices?
