My opinion

Postby JMSinMaryland » Wed Feb 05, 2003 9:41 pm

In my opinion they make the car look cheap. The OEM 99-01 taillights are actually pretty goodlooking for stock taillights. Altezza's are played out and everyone has them, I don't want to be like everyone, that's why I got a Solara, plus it's a beautiful car. Jon.

Solara Altezza Taillight

Postby mannella » Mon Feb 10, 2003 4:12 pm

I've always been waiting for these euro lights to come out onto the market. But now, before ordering a set, I'm worried about making my Solara look cheap. It's black, with black tinted windows...soooo....what would look better (or worse)??....the chrome, the carbon, or the tanned gunmetal lights??....keeping in mind it would be on a black Solara.

Would anyone be generous enough to photoshop these concepts (or at least the best-looking one)??? Please let me know before my impulses get the best of me!!

get the carbon fiber ones; that'll look pretty trick on a black solara imo. dun' worry about making your car cheap.

No need to Photoshop. I finally got a picture up at car domain. Not sure if I like them yet. They are at least different. Just follow the link below. And to the haters; get over it. Everyone on this message board loves their Solara as much as you love yours. People just have different taste.

On a funny side note, that the some of you might like, other than the 30 or so people that paid like crazy for the Altezzas, the market has dried up. I figure they won't make many more of them. I guess this is good like them or no. Hopefully, I won't see anymore copies of my car running around :P .
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

I agree. Everytime I glance on an 02 or 03 Solara, I would think "whoa, nice car" and then I would realize that my car looks exactly like that :D

ps. SolaraGuys dont like it when people say gen 1.5 taillights are nice, soooo shhhh.

I don't mean to nag, I'm just photoshop-impaired....Can anyone create the chrome lights on a black Solara?? I just want to compare to the carbon. I'm just not sure which would blend better on a black Solara (with black tints).
