Headunit Mounting Harness

Headunit Mounting Harness

Postby FLASH » Sun Aug 08, 2004 5:51 pm

I busted my stock stereo and my spare. I just ordered a new single DIN headunit. I HATE the look of having the pocket underneath the unit to fill up the extra space in the double DIN slot. I've looked but havent found any other real alternatives. Id like to have the headunit mounted in the center of the double DIN space, with just black plastic above and below the headunit.

Can I get some help from anyone please!?

Or the 95 camry came with a door in that section. It should also fit ours as a doubledin is a doubledin. Especialy for Toyota. I don't think anyone has done what you are asking for. That is used for GM cars that have their unique din.

I ordered the CD pocket holder, now I decided to install the headunit myself...so can someone help me if this is the wiring harness I need?

Also, for those that have done this themselves, is it easy to do?

Yes and Yes.

You can do it. Just match up the wires were they need to go and connect away.

Install is easy.
And some info...I got the CD thing a few months ago. its not that big of an issue since I burn copys of all my cds for car use, but its easy to scratch your CDs with that holder since its just plastic. The pocket was pretty useless to me though, since stuff went flying out when I went full throttle
