correct offset for 19'' rims

hey i wanted to know what would be the correct offset for 19x8 and 19x8.5 ???

for me it was 19x8 @ 40 offset

having 19x8 if u don't have any trouble with that right ...like rubbing or anything ??? and what size tires do u have ??? 225 35 19's ??? i already have 19's but mine are 19x7.5 so i just wanted to know the offset for 19x8 or 19x8.5

i have 19x7.5 with +42 offset... no rubbing with 225/35/19 tires...
for x8 ideal offset is +40 or even 38 is fine
