Just replace both dude. Like a week after I bought the car I blasted a Bone Thugs CD and blew out the same speaker. I just bought a set of Jensen 6x9's with built in tweeters. Just about any aftermarket will sound better than the stock jbl.

Yeah i agree wit Pyhtonjosh, when you replace you speakers always replace both of them, even thought if one of the speakers are messed up.
Also make MDF speaker mounts for t he rear.
Cause i'm usin' the factory speakers mounts for the rear and they sound sssoooooo bad.
The front speaker mounts work good.

replace them both and like everyone said anything is better than stock. for the rears you can always use the factory mount for the rear deck. my aftermarket fosgates are under the factory jbl grilles. :drinking:

Go wit infiniti.
Pioneer speaker sucks they don't push out the dbls that loud.
Also not alot of good bass reponse.
My alpines put out a better bass response.
Also if you get aftermarket for the rear you should make speaker mounts the JBL stock ones suck in the back.
The fronts are good.

ok, if you want sound performance go wit...

infinity 12" (2) subs (either fo two newest models)
MB Quart front component speakers
Alpine 3 way 6x9's in back.

2 channel above 600 watts amp to drive subs
4 channel above 800 watts amp to drive interior speakers....

...done and done

of course there are always other options.

Good advice, guys. I blew mine out before I put my system in, over a year ago now. First the right rear went, sounded like a rattling junk, got me so pist. Stuffed it with paper towel and unplugged the speaker, the rattling stopped. Then a day later the left one blew. I just ripped both speakers out since its such a biaatch to take them out properly. Using some heavy duty garden scissors and grindin them til they were dull, I cut every little metal framing piece that held them in. Now its just gaping holes for the sub in trunk to flow into the cabin.
