okay i just installed the apexi afcII. i tunned the high throttle to add a lill extra pep, when im gunning it. i lowered the low throttle since im a pizza boy, and thought that i could save my gas, since i drive slow at work might as well see if i can save gas through the afc. well the ce light came on. i put the low throttle back too zero and it went away. anyway to get around this, or is thing only for performance(as it was ment):)

Does SAFC has different saving mode? I mean when you lower the low throttle stuffs to lean, you are kinda mess up the whole power curve. you have to adjust the top and low rpm together to have good A/F ratio and curve. Also, did you tune it with wide band A/F gauge?

if the factory computer starts getting these readings that are too off from factory spec your light is going to come on. is the safc2 sweet man? easy to install?

the point of the SAFC is originally designed for adding (in a sense for the better of engine performance), not necessarily de-tuning ECU controls.

stock ECU itself has the most fuel efficient settings possible.

imho, i would not lean out the engine (in your case fuel saving) as it may lead to detonation and more knock.

Well in my situation I had to detune my motor with the SAFC II because it was running too rich. I've got corrections as low as -20 in low throttle / low rpms. Detuning can be done with an SAFC II but in your case with the stock injectors your SAFC II needs to be tuned on a dyno.

i meant wrong.

i meant the SAFC was meant to be beneficial.

not de-tune stock settings for fuel saving purposes.

my SAFC is also set on some of the negative settings from running too rich.
