Underdrive pulleys for 1mz-fe?

Underdrive pulleys for 1mz-fe?

Postby trd4life » Sat Nov 27, 2004 10:26 am

Well i contacted Unorthodox racing inquiring about them making underdrive pulleys for the 1mz-fe. They said if i could get 10 guys together for a group buy they will make them.

On another note, i was thinking it may be easier if we could use underdrive pulleys from say a supra, mr2, celica, etc. Does anyone here know if toyota vehicles's accessory pulleys are interchangable. It would be sweet if we could just order a set of supra pulleys, say p/s. alt, and water pump and bolt them right up to the 1mz-fe.

i have talked to the local dealership , he claims all toyota accessory pulleys are different from car to car, but wouldnt it make sense for some of them to be interchangable?

it would make sense somewhat . . . but in the automotive industry there are numerous types of engines (I4, V4, I6, V6, Boxer, etc. etc.). So since there is much differentiation a lotta the engine parts are NOT interchangable. The cars with similar engine codes like the 1JZGTE, 2JZGE & 2JZGTE have some interchangable parts due to the engine compatibility. Since our engine (1MZ-FE) isn't really built for "performance" . . . there aren't that many aftermarket parts for our particular engine. Only the ES300, Sienna, Avalon, Camry and I think the RX300 share our engine. Shootz den. Lataz
