Are LED stiprs really better than neon?

I've been fooled by eBay before... but before I go in and put these damn things under my dash ( I have some little 6 inch white ones now in Neon form)

I'm wondering if I really should heed the advice and put in the 12 inch LED bars.

Here's an ebay link... these any good?

I think they are a bit more brighter and solid in color, yet neons always had that floaty cloud look to them, which is good too. Its all taste. I like either one, just dont over do it. Neons and such are a fine balance to make look sophisticated on a car or make it look ricey.

I just finished installing neons in my interior. I like it a lot personally, I'd rather hav just the blue light kinda spreading out from the tube rather than a few bright beams from leds. I dunno, I've seen some great LED installation pics, but they also look like a ton more work. I'll post pics of mine soon...

I'd say neons in my opinion. LED tubes are nice if you will be exposing the bulb like on a box in the trunk or something. If you do go with LED's I would find another source, they look cheap from this guy on eBay and he has semi bad feedback.

Good Luck
