Rim upgrade - not lowered

I'm thinking about putting some different rims on my 2003 SE and I dont really want to lower it. Do you guys think 17" or 18" rims with a lower profile tire will look alright. Or will it just look odd if I dont lower it? Im obvioulsy new to this and some advise would be awesome.

Does lowering your car make it ride really rough? How much did you guys spend to have it lowered? It definately looks way better lowered especially with the TRD kit.

If I get lowering springs do I have to get new struts? Or are the after market struts shorter or something? I mean my car has only 12,000 miles on it the struts are like new still.

I guess it doesn't look all that bad without it lowered. But not ideal I guess.

if you aren't going to lower it you should just get 19's or 20's. Personally, i think you need to drop it regardless of what size wheels you get. once again that is my opinion. do what makes you happy, ya know?

i can tell you for sure that it will looks funny.....

suspension upgrade does not make your car go rough, at leat not with solara with tokico/kyb (i hear TRD/blistein is stiffer). if you dont change your shock, it will bounce like a boat.
