Rippmods Headers
I finally got a set of the Rippmods headers this last week and put them on. They have been on for about 100 miles after the computer reset, so I figure that it has fully adjusted. I thought I would post my impressions from anyone that is considering getting them. This is easiest I guess by listing the good and bad parts. IMO the included catalytic converter didn’t make sense, or wasn’t well thought out, but other than that the product was top notch and anyone with a NA or Supercharged 5S-FE powered Solara should get them.
Good:
Feel very solid quality wise.
Have attractive look and design.
Quite, barely any change from stock.
Engine revs very smoothly, and has a stockish but better feel.
Excellent fitment.
Does well on the butt dyno!
Bad:
Wish they came with flanges for the catalytic converter. (I ended up using my old 3” Magnaflow cat, but still had to hunt for flanges so I could bolt it in).
There is an O2 sensor port on the included cat. Not sure what that’s for (CA edition?)

Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.
