The housing stays stock when you make the move to HIDs. Theres currently no aftermarket headlights for the Solara, so the only way to fix the fogging (if its on the inside) is to either buy another headlight, new or used, possibly off ebay, or to take them off, open them up, clean them, and reseal them.
Usually toyota quality with the headlights is pretty good, but the foglights arent so good. Ive hit a couple leaking foglights but never a leaking headlight.
Is the fog on the inside or outside? If its on the outside, look at the auto store for something called plexiglass and glass cleaner. Its in a small white bottle with a blue label. That stuff works really well. If its on the inside, I would suggest getting another one off ebay. opening them and resealing them isnt the easiest job, (to open them, you need to stick them in the oven..., and when resealing, you cant miss a spot or itll just be leaking again).
For yellow fogs, you have three choices, easiest to hardest.
1) Get yellow bulbs. The yellow bulb itself never looks too yellow, but the beam does.
2) Get some yellow tint and lay it on top of the foglight. If you do this, itll look yellow even when its not on. Not sure how the fogs look when theyre on, havent doneit yet.
3) Get the lexus capsules. They sell them at HIDTech. Note that youll also have to bake your foglights to install these. I know Sweedt6 used to make these as a service, but I'm not sure if he does anymore. (He did mine, highly recommended if he still makes em.) Lexus's have smaller foglights than us, so its a more concentrated pattern, but otherwise, this will be just like the Lexus style.
